The Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman recently held a party for the Frances Bodden Girls Home and the Bonaventure Boys Home called Christmas at the King's Sports Centre on Sunday November 25th.

Organised by Community Service Director, Martha Connolly, the event was a way for the club to interact with the young ladies and young men and give them an early start to the holidays as well as treat them to a day of fun. There was cake, beverages, chicken wings, sandwiches and pizza. Each member of the club also purchased Christmas gifts for each girl and boy.

The young ladies started the day with a game of dominoes against some of the Rotaract Club members, which showed their competitive spirit! Then it was onto playing a few arcade games. Air hockey and car racing games proved to be the popular ones. While some enjoyed the arcade games others took to the ring and when the DJ arrived, he played the latest tunes, which made skating even more fun.

As the afternoon progressed food was served and a special gift was presented to the staff of the home on behalf of the Club for all they do for the young ladies. "Your hard work, love and dedication to these girls have not gone unnoticed, this is just our way of saying thank you", commented Ms. Connolly.

Although an unfortunate circumstance happened and the young men from Bonaventure Boys home were not able to make it to the party, the party still made it to them as the food, drinks and gifts were given to them later that afternoon.

"The first 'Christmas in November' was a success and fun for all, we look forward to organizing a bigger and better party for the girls and boys next year!" stated Ms Connolly.

Special thanks goes to King's Sports Centre for providing the location and entertainment free of charge. Thanks also go to Every Blooming Thing, Foster's Food Fair and Domino's Pizza.
