On December 15th 2011 the Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman celebrated its 5th anniversary as a chartered club.

On Friday December 16th, the Club held a happy hour to commemorate the occasion in which Rotaractors, Rotarians, friends, family and members of the public attended. On that night, RCGC officially unveiled their new logo that pays homage to the beautiful and unique Grand Cayman parrot designed by Rotaractor Shane Peynado.

Coordinators of the event Club Service Director Stephanie Rattan and Vice President Derrick Vermont were very pleased with the turnout of the event and hopes that the public now has a better understanding of what organizations like RCGC are about and encourages young people to get involved in their community. Director Stephanie stated, “Rotaract is more than a service organization; while we help our community we also build great friendships with like-minded persons and develop professionally through our interactions – something so vital for young Caymanians.”

The evening would not have been successful without the support and sponsorship of the Exchange Bar & Lounge, Coalition Entertainment (www.djlinmusic.com), Digicel – Cayman Islands, Khaotiq (www.khaotiq.com) and SaxonMG. The Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman would also like to extend their gratitude to all sponsors and supporters of their community service initiative throughout the years; because of them the Club is able to better serve their Cayman community and communities in our surrounding regions.  A special thank you goes out to the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise for their encouragement and hands on support as their sponsoring Rotary Club over the past 5 years.
