In the community, we have continued with our Brown Paper Bag Project and now we are looking at ways to further assist the mental health court attendees. Special needs individuals need more assistance than we currently give now, so if you are interested contact us to get involved.
We have visited summer camps and spoken to the youth, we continue on with our School Supply-A-Thon, and would like to specially thank our sponsors - Appleby, without your support we wouldn't be able to assist the children who need supplies for education more now than ever and Cost-U-Less, thank you for allowing us to stand outside your store and collect donations.
We also donated blood - a lot of itDid you know that one pint of blood can serve up to three people? We encourage you to donate as often as the Blood Donor Bank will allow.. and when you do donate take a pic and send it to us...we would love to know!

We kicked of our year with an ABC party which means Anything But Clothes; we had dresses from newspaper to suits of armor I didn't realise how creative of a group we had! Our annual boat cruise was held on July 19th it was made possible courtesy of Cayman Private Charters and Tours it started with an hour of rain and ended with the sun and lots of fun! Both events were amazing and a great way to kick start our year.

On a personal note, I would like to share one of my recent experiences with you. I had the opportunity to visit Washington DC and meet some of the most amazing Rotaractors at RYLA (Rotary Young Leaders Awards) North America. I came to terms with something I personally struggled with as a young male growing up in the Caribbean a popular topic, LGBT. Today I can proudly share I have a great friend who is a transgender; I learned about his struggle and how Rotaractors have helped him overcome the daily struggles he goes through. I thank him for his bravery, for sharing with me and allowing me to be his friend and opportunity grow from it.

Rotaract is just that, it helps us overcome struggles in life and become stronger more well-rounded people.

Has anything here caught your attention? We continue to have community service projects and fellowships throughout this month so keep an eye on our social media about how you can join the fun. We would love to have you join us and help us serve our community better.

I encourage everyone to take every chance to meet new people and let them help you grow from within. Do what we were meant to... Give to the world, by being a gift to the world.
